Events for 10/13 and 10/14

Come celebrate car-free month with the BK! This Saturday, we’ll be leading a bike ride to the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the farm (in the alumni house parking lot, right out back), and bring your helmets!

We’ll also be having workday on Sunday – 1:00 p.m. on the farm. Come see our snazzy drip irrigation system and the sassy little pumpkin growing in the squash bed. Exciting times on the farm.

And. Finally.

Poetry night on the farm! Could be your poetry, could be my poetry, could be Dr. Seuss. Or the poetry of a moose. (okay, it probably shouldn’t be my poetry.) You’re also welcome to bring guitars and bongos and strong french cheeses for sharing. We’ll be there around 9 p.m. Saturday eve.

I'm a math and econ student at WashU. Though I love digging in the dirt, I hope one day to combine my urban gardening and my academic background to work in food justice. But full confession? If I could afford land and livestock, I would have a pig farm in the mountains.
