Want to volunteer with us? You can! In sight of COVID-19 restrictions, we are implementing new workday regulations, but you can still come into the garden. In a typical school year, we hold workdays for two hours every weekend when the weather permits. This year, we are implementing a sign-up-based workday schedule. To sign up for a workday, use this link, which will take you to a Google Sheets. Simply fill out your name in the slot you would like to participate in. If you are signing up with other people, try to do so with roommates/suitemates/people you are living with. A member of exec will be present at your shift to help it run smoothly and to answer any questions. The garden is located on top of the South 40, to the east of the Alumni House, along Wallace Dr. You will be directed by the exec member present, but you can also check the Burning Kumquat’s weekly garden tasks (link here). This list will also be available on a QR code in the garden, for easier access. When you finish working, please fill out a workday report (link here, though there will also be a QR code with the report inside the garden).
For more details, please read the garden syllabus. The links above, as well as more resources, have been gathered in a Linktree. You may favorite or save this page for quick access to any of these resources.
We hold GBMs every couple of weeks, so check in with us regularly if you want to stay connected. Farmigarchy, our exec board, meets every Thursday at 6pm CT. Anyone is welcome to attend! You can find the zoom link here.
