Recipe Idea: Kale

We have so much kale at the Burning Kumquat. Right now we are growing curly kale, dino kale, and red russian kale.

One easy recipe is to make kale chips!

Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Wash a lot of kale (it will shrink away when you cook it). I would recommend 3/4 lb of kale. Chop up the kale into large pieces; you can use the stems as well. Lay them out on a baking sheet, and it’s okay if they overlap. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Then cook for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!

Also: if you like making homemade summer pizzas like I do, trying putting kale on it! Just wash, chop and throw it into the oven as a pizza topping. No need to sautee in advance!
